Thinkspace '5 Year Anniversary Show'

Why, oh why do I not live in California? Thinkspace gallery, one of my all time favorite galleries, is having an amazing anniversary exhibit with a plethora of amazing artists! Gyah, it is almost too much to handle!

As We Procure a Hazy Memory, Tran Nugyen.
acrylic and color pencil.

A beautifully haunting piece by Tran Nugyen. Very different from what I have seen from her and I absolutely adore it. Especially the monochrome colors. Goodness.

My Little Secrets by Audrey Kawasaki
24"x24" graphite and oil on wood panel

Another artist who is growing a developing so much! I have always loved her work, but now she is really expanding herself! It's amazing to see. :)

Strings of Dew, by Amy Sol.
  acrylic on wood panel.

Another lovely piece. I've really grown to love her work. Something tender and comforting about it.

Howie's Hands, by Emma Tooth.
Oil on canvas.

Don't even get me started on the talent of Emma Tooth. Dear Lordy.

Haunted #30 (detail), by Joao Ruas.

OHMYGOSH JOAO RUAS!!!! I wish I could meet this fellow. I would embrace him. His work is utterly amazing.

There are so many other incredible artists being featured -- Camilla d`Errico, Esao Andrews, Kevin Titzer, Pedro Matos and more! Come check it out!

A Book About Death

A postcard drawing I made for the Ray Johnson and A Book About Death Exhibition. I learned about Ray Johnson in my undergrad and I really felt a connection and love for him.  So I must say, I am quite excited about this exhibition! You can find all the information about it at the ABAD blogspot.

This is the third piece I've made in this drawing style. I really like it a lot and would like to continue with a series of some kind. I'm not sure yet. Right now I'm trying to get comfortable in my painting, but I would like to spend some time on this.

To come

Under construction. Will be back soon.
